// venture collective
Operators, builders,
and capital.
One collective.
The Foundry is a Venture Collective, owned by a group of investors and the people who run it. We solve real problems inside the investors' businesses and turn the solutions that work into products we sell and companies we spin out. Everyone in the collective owns a stake in what's built.
Three things that are usually apart. Here they're one.
In most building, the problem, the people who build, and the money come from three different places. At The Foundry they're the same place.
The investors own established businesses. The Foundry builds the solutions. The collective owns what's built. So everything we build starts from three things being true at once:
The problem is real.
It's already inside a working business, not a guess about what a market might want.
The market is real.
If it's a problem for one serious business, it's a problem for others. We build the ones that sell beyond the company that has them.
The capital is aligned.
The people who fund the build are the people who have the problem and own a stake in what's made. Everyone wins the same way.
That alignment is the whole design. It's what lets us move fast and build things that are worth owning.
We find out what works, early.
Surfaced
Problems inside the investors' businesses are put in front of the collective.
Chosen
Management decides what to build. The test is commercial: does it sell beyond the business that has it.
Built
Small senior teams build a working version efficiently, without wasting time or money proving the point.
Proven
It runs inside the business that has the problem — the first customer, real use, real data. We learn fast whether it earns its place.
Rolled out
What works goes to the market: sold as software, or spun out as a company with its own funding and team.
Solve it once. Sell it everywhere.
Every build begins as one business's problem and becomes something the market pays for. The investors' businesses are where it proves out. Then it goes wide.
Floor.
If a build doesn't find a market, it still solved the problem it was made for. Nothing is wasted.
Ceiling.
If it does, it scales — sold as software worldwide, or spun out as a company — and everyone in the collective owns a stake in what it becomes.
Most innovation spend is a cost. Here it compounds into an asset.
Building got cheap. That's what makes this work.
A few years ago, building each product cost too much to justify a collective of small bets. AI-native development changed the math. The Foundry builds fast and cheaply — which means it can be wrong early and at low cost, and that is exactly what lets it be right in a way that pays for everything.
“The downside has somewhere to go. The upside has somewhere to run.”
Led by…
Let's build something together.
We're deliberate about who joins the collective. The first step is always a conversation.
